NIKKI’S NEST is located about 20km south of Trivandrum in the southern Indian state of Kerala, the epitome of classic Ayurveda. The complex is build terraced form, on a slope sloping down to the sea. The bungalows are widely scattered in the exotic gardens with beautiful orchids and coconut palms and offer enough privacy. Guests have a breathtaking view of the beautiful Malabar coast on all sides. The friendly staff, the family atmosphere, the pool and the golden sandy beach guarantee rest and relaxation in Nikki’s Nest.

Villa THE NEST

ACCOMMODATION

In each of the tastefully designed stone bungalows or Kerala wooden houses are, two or three separate, spacious double rooms units. The combination of traditional architecture and modern facilities offer comfort and convenience to the guests. You can choose from the following categories:

STANDARD ROOM

The SERIES ROOM Nos. 401 – 405 are located in the new part of Nikki’s Nest, above the Ayurveda center.

The interior is the same as the cottages / chalets. A common terrace connects the premises.

STANDARD ROOM Nos. 205 – 207 are located below the restaurant in the main facility and are slightly larger. (No. 205 is bookable with air condition facility)

COTTAGES

Each of these circular double cottages is sea facing and has a separate entrance for each of the two units. Telephone, shower / WC as well as a terrace with deck chairs and hammock in the garden.
You can book the rooms either with a fan or, for an extra charge, with air conditioning.

BEACH CHALETS

are in the newer part of the resort. At low tide you have really close to a small bay with a sandy beach.

In this category there are both detached chalets and semi-detached houses.
They are terraced in the beautiful gardens, near the Ayurveda center.
The Chalets have the same facilities as the cottages.
In the Ayurvedic sense, they are not air conditioned. However, for a surcharge, guests can book a chalet with air conditioning facility.

KERALA WOODHOUSE

This traditional wooden house is located in the lower part of the main complex, near the beach.

It has 2 separate double bedroom units with separate entrances.
The facilities are similar to the bungalows, but here also with a fridge. The traditional construction and fans ensure a pleasant indoor climate.
The Kerala Room category can be booked with (No. 202) or without air conditioning (No. 201).

VILLA – THE NEST

(Non air-conditioned)
This appartment is for guests who appreciates spacious place and private sphere. It is also a traditional Kerala wooden house. A bit apart from the other bungalows it is located above the pool on the highest point of the resort, with impressive views and pretty facilities.
It has living room, bedroom, spacious bathroom, kitchenette, fridge, telephone and a terrace.

Note: As typical in Kerala, the sea view may be partially limited by the plants and palms of the lush tropical garden.

THERAPY CENTER

The management of the in-house Ayurveda center is lead by Dr. Sasidharan, an elderly, very experienced Ayurvedic doctor with long professional experience. He has been an honoured invitee to many seminars and conferences due to his rich knowledge and well-founded writings. At his side are Dr. Praveen, who has is well known due to his practice in Switzerland, as well as a female Ayurveda doctor. A friendly, competent team of male and female therapists is there to carry out the authentic Ayurveda treatments.

Nikki’s Nest has been awarded the “Green Leaf Award” by the “Department of Tourism Government of Kerala”, the highest award for authentically applied Ayurveda.

AYURVEDA TREATMENTS

The basic program offered here are either a REVITALIZATION therapy or a classic BODY CLEANING therapy (Panchakarma) in Nikki’s Nest. After a comprehensive initial examination, an individual treatment and meal plan is prepared for each guest.
The treatments can be booked for 7, 14, 21 or 28 days, or in any length.

The doctor consultations take place in English. On request, a language speaking interpretor/ translator is available. Please book the same in advance when booking.

YOGA & MEDITATION

are a part of every therapy in Nikki’s Nest and are offered daily. (6 Times weekly)
As at all other Ayurveda resorts, participation in yoga & maditation classes is of course voluntary and will not be monitored. You yourself must experience and feel how positively the mental relaxation affects your general condition.
Group lessons are aimed at beginners as well as advanced yogis.

In the ORCHID restaurant, South Indian delicacies and international specialties are served a la carte from the truly exquisite cuisine. A treat for the palate and eyes!
The tastefully furnished seating areas are spread over large, covered terraces and offer a fantastic view over the kilometer-long beach of the Malabar Coast.

LEISURE & SPORTS

During high season, Nikki’s Nest also offers in-house cultural events featuring classical Indian music and dances. You can take relaxing beach walks, swimming in the sea, when the waves allow it; or rent a taxi or a tuk-tuk and explore the local life nearby.

LOCATION

Nikki’s Nest is located in south-western India, in the state of Kerala, only about 20 km south of Trivandrum, directly on the Indian Ocean. Airport transfer only about 30-40min. The resort stretches from the small private beach up to a cliff topped by exotic plants and palm trees. The quiet resort is located near the popular seaside resort of Kovalam in Chowara.
