The Resort was opened in 1998 and expanded in 2004. It has 10 country-style bungalows with a total of 23 rooms built from locally available, eco-friendly materials, such as coconut palms, bamboo, earth and sand. The traditional local architectural style makes air conditioning superfluous, yet each room has a ceiling fan.
In this exemplary environment-conscious resort, the electricity is mainly supplied by a solar system; Waste water and organic waste are used in a biogas plant – and smoking is prohibited in entire Resort!
The rooms in the double bungalows are large with a modern bathroom, mosquito nets, fan and a covered porch with wicker tables, chairs, benches and sun loungers.
The interior, with a large double bed, wardrobe, desk and chairs, has been tastefully crafted by local carpenters, providing excellent comfort and convenience to the European visitor.
Mats woven from palm fronds cover the interior walls and the Ramacham herbs processed in the roofs exude an aromatic, invigorating scent.

At the resort’s own Ayurveda Center (awarded the “Green Leaf Award” by the Kerala government), special emphasis is placed on practicing only the ancient original Ayurvedic treatments, without any adulteration and changes or modifications.
It is led by an experienced Ayurvedic doctor and 3 female doctors who specialize in the traditional traditional Ayurvedic treatments.
The therapists also have long professional experience in well-known Ayurveda clinics. Almost all oils and preparations for Ayurvedic applications are made under the guidance of the doctor on the spot.
KADAPPURAM provides the Ayurveda basic program for a classic Panchakarma cure from 14 days or more, with regeneration massages, herbal and steam baths and special ayurvedic medicines. The daily treatment duration is about 2 hours.
Regenerative and body cleansing therapies with massages, oil spills, herbal treatments and steam baths are a real pleasure: they relax, rejuvenate, beautify, relieve or even remedy serious ailments.
Accompanying the Ayurvedic treatments, you can take part in the yoga and meditation classes free of charge under the guidance of an experienced teacher daily.

The lake view restaurant serves only traditional, delicious Kerala cuisine. You can choose from the rich, vegetarian buffet – in accordance with the Ayurveda doshas – freely choose. Different herbal waters, tea and coffee are served.
Apart from swimming in the clear, clean sea, cycling, volleyball, badminton and deep-sea fishing are also possible, as far as the cure allows. During the high season, various cultural events are offered in the evenings, such as Kalaripayattu – the traditional martial arts of Kerala, folklore and classical dances and musical performances. During the day, there are also various leisure options available: take a bike ride, a boat trip, an elephant ride or stroll through the colorful local markets
There are several destinations within a 2-hour reach. You can e.g. visit the cities of Thrissur and Cochin, enjoy the exotic beauty of the mountains and Athirampilly waterfalls, visit the elephant camp in Guruvayoor or take a boat trip in the foothills of the backwaters. Day trips and excursions are organized on request by car, driver and guide by the resort. Bicycles can be rented at the resort.
The resort is centrally located in Kerala, directly on the sea side. Only 55km from the airport Cochin away (about 1.5 hours transfer time by car), 40min. from the district capital Thrissur. The tranquility of nature, the flowing calm river, the coconut grove, the deserted beach, the sea, the gentle Ayurvedic treatments – time stands still at this place.
