ACCOMMODATION

Here local building materials and traditional craftsmanship give you a real taste of life in Kerala without giving up on modern & western comforts. All units have airy living / sleeping areas, shower / WC, dressing table, seating, fan and mosquito net over the bed. The rooms were renovated in 2019 and equipped with modern bathrooms.

The interiors with lots of local flavor have been designed by local craftsmen and artists with love. All rooms are facing the sea. All Rooms have a separate small terrace and have direct access to the garden or beach. Each category has its own style and charm. You can choose among the following accommodation types:

SPECIAL KERALA HUTS (3):

The non Air conditioned  octagonal, smaller cabins are the cheapest category. Due to the traditional construction method these provide a good natural ventilation. The bathrooms have a partly open roof with palm trees.

SEA VIEW ROOM:

(with and without air conditioning)
The spacious, airy rooms are spread over two terraced buildings, which offer a wonderful sea view due to their uphill location; or in 4 row bungalows (Old Sea View).

A / C SEA VIEW – BLISS ROOMS:

Are air-conditioned and have in comparison to the standard rooms a large terrace with garden area and hammocks. Equipped with TV and mini-bar.

A / C SEA VIEW – BREEZE ROOMS:

Are air conditioned and located on the upper floor. They offer a beautiful view and are equipped with slightly higher quality equipment with TV and mini-bar.

MODERN KERALA COTTAGES (7):

(with and without air conditioning)
The round houses with their own small garden area are located on a small hill with beautiful sea view.
These are traditionally decorated, with a spacious living / sleeping area and typical open-air bath. The air-conditioned cottages have TV and mini-bar.

MODERN KERALA HOUSE (9):

(Air conditioned)
Enjoy sunrises and sunsets on the large pillared porch.
The semi-detached houses have partially open-air bathrooms and slightly larger rooms than the cottages.

WOODEN KERALA HOUSE (2 × 2):

(Air conditioned)
The traditional Kerala houses are located near the pool and feature intricately carved wood paneling. From these you enjoy not only from the terrace, but even from the inside of a great view of the sea.   Equipped with TV and mini-bar.

KOTTARM HOUSE (4):

(Air conditioned)
The octagonal building offers an integrated, natural ventilation system in the roof. It has a large sleeping / living area with a small adjoining room and a bathroom with tub. From the terrace alla round the room and due to the exponent location you can enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. Equipped with TV and mini-bar.

THERAPY CENTER

The Ayurveda Center is run by two male doctors and three female colleagues. Together with the well-trained team of nearly 50 staff members and therapists, the doctors produce many of the high-quality Ayurvedic oils and tinctures themselves. Each guest is treated by two therapists in the form of synchronized massages. The approximately 26 treatment rooms are with lots of natural light and airy with views of the lush garden. Since at least one doctor is always present at the resort, there is also a 24-hour Emergency service.

AYURVEDA TREATMENTS

It offers authentic cleansing, rejuvenation, beauty care and weight reduction treatments. Starting from the initial diagnosis till the final examination, the treatments are carefully and consiously carried out. After determining your constitution type during the initial body analysis and doctors consultation the treatment procedures and the diet are individually tailored to you.

 The medical consultation will be conducted in English. If required,  language interpreters for other languagues (on request) are available.
Costs: 40 Euro per person for the first doctors meeting as well as for the final consultation.

The frequency and choice of treatments are the recommendation of the doctor, depending on the initial diagnosis.

YOGA & MEDITATION

Daily lessons are included in the price of the package. The decision to participate is, of course, up to you.

Morning Lesson: 06.45 – 07.45
Evening session: 17.00 – 18:30
Yoga lessons for beginners: 10.00-11.00
Individual classes can be booked locally (about 7 € per lesson).

RESTAURANT

The open-air restaurant with panoramic views offers excellent Kerala specialties and a variety of ayurvedic dishes. Mainly fruits and vegetables from the own garden are used, but also freshly caught fish and sea food are served. At regular cooking demonstrations you can get to learn the local specialties of Kerala.

LEISURE / SPORT

In Bethsaida various sports and leisure activities are offered:

• Badminton, volleyball, water polo, table tennis
• Table games, pottery classes, cooking lessons
• Various yoga and meditation classes (for a fee)

ENTERTAINMENT / EXCURSIONS

In the high season, various cultural programs are offered in the evening, with colorful Indian music-dance-theater. Excursions can be booked at reception: shopping and sightseeing tour in Trivandrum; Trips to the popular tourist town of Kovalam (10min by tuk-tuk); Trip to the Indian South Cape or to the water amusement park HAPPY LAND (1h drive); as well as boat tours through the lagoons of the backwaters.

LOCATION

In the south Indian state of Kerala, only about 30 min. driving time from Trivandrum airport, right on the sea. The resort stretches from the exotic garden to the deserted bay, surrounded by fishing villages.
