ACCOMODATION

The buildings, with a view of the river or the gardens, are built in the traditional country house style of Old Goa, with pretty style elements of the former Portuguese colonial masters. A distinction is made between the categories between SUPERIOR ROOMS in multi-storey buildings, VILLA ROOMS in small bungalows with 1 – 2 residential units and SUITES with 2 rooms.
The tastefully furnished rooms have contemporary furnishings with a bathtub, air conditioning and a spacious balcony with a view of fields, gardens and the Mandovi River. There are televisions in most of the rooms, but guests who take a Panchakarma cure here can have it gladly removed if they want The somewhat more spacious Villa Rooms also have a fridge, tea and coffee making facilities.
Single rooms are double rooms for single use.

THERAPY CENTRE

A team of specialized Ayurveda doctors is on duty in the spacious premises of the Ayurveda Center, supported by female and male massage therapists. The center meets the highest requirements of the principles and forms of treatment of Ayurveda, with high hygiene standards.
Daily Ayurveda treatments take almost about 2 hours.
In the SPA area there is a whirlpool, steam bath and sauna available, there are oriental massages, whole body treatments with wraps, packs and herbal-based baths. Pamper yourself in the beauty salon, with manicures / pedicures, face and hair care. Physiotherapy treatments can also be carried out in the fitness center.

The cure releases the body’s own healing powers and strengthens the memory as well as the body composition and vitality. It helps you lose weight, relieves mental tension, improves your physical condition, makes your skin glow and gives your body and soul new energy. Ayurveda has a very positive effect on joint pain, rheumatism, arthritis, obesity, sleep problems, diabetes, spondylitis, asthma, neurological disorders, migraines, partial paralysis etc.

There are 3 restaurants to choose from in the Devaaya Center: the air-conditioned “Malar”, the “Manos” on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Mandovi River and the “Amboi” by the pool.
In Ayurvedic teaching, nutrition plays an important role in healing diseases and ailments, as well as in the prevention of a healthy, long life. That is why freshly prepared, vegetarian dishes are given due consideration in Devaaya. Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited and caffeinated drinks are not served at the Devaaya Center.
 At the weekly cooking courses, you can learn how to cook recipes at home according to the naturopathic principles

LEISURE & SPORT

Daily leisure activities include walking, village walks and cycling. The loungers by the swimming pool invite you to relax.

Entertainment / Excursions: Interesting is a hike to the nearby villages, where you can get to know a wonderful mix of cultures and religions. Or you drive to the island of Chorao and watch the birds in the bird sanctuary. Culture and history are plentiful in Old Goa; a treasure chest full of cathedrals, churches and monasteries. Tours to spice plantations, elephant rides / elephant baths, crocodile and dolphin watching and much more. Ask the staff at the reception!

LOCATION

The DEVAAYA is surrounded on three sides by the Mandovi River on the island of Divar opposite Alt-Goa, on the west coast of India. Divar is about 14 square kilometers and has 9000 inhabitants.
The resort is only 10km (20 minutes drive / ferry) from Panaji, the capital of Goa; 35km (1 hour drive) from the airport. Devaaya can be reached both by car and by a 20-minute boat connection.

Important information about bookings in DEVAAYA:



• All prices are calculated for stays of at least 7 nights

• Daily, even during the treatment-free days (Sundays), fitness room, sauna, steam bath and whirlpool can be used freely in the wellness area.
    
• Special wellness treatments must be billed separately on site.

• Please note the strict smoking and alcohol ban in the Devaaya Center.
• Soft drinks, carbonated drinks and non-vegetarian food are also not served in the Devaaya Center and must not be brought along.

• Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the resort.

• Note for female guests: In the first 3 days from the onset of menstrual bleeding, complete whole-body treatments are not carried out here; only partial treatments are possible.
